In June 2022 members of the public joined naturalists, both professional and amateur, to conduct a Bio Blitz of the Denis’ Field site.
A Bio Blitz is a biological survey, usually conducted in one day, as an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area.
The Denis’ Field Bio Blitz is now an annual event.
Year dates in brackets indicate the first year that the species was seen at the site. If there is no date, this shows that the species was first recorded at the site during our first Bio Blitz in 2022.
The dates of the Bio Blitz so far are:
4th June 2022
9th July 2023
